The national EGL conference took place on the 27th of September in Sisak, Croatia. The conference gathered municipalities and youth organisations from all parts of Croatia and was attended by the State Secretary of the Central State Office for Demography and Youth.
There were presentations about EGL, results achieved on both European and national levels, best practices from municipalities, but there were also other examples of good quality local youth work. They also took the opportunity to shortly present EYWA and youth work objectives set on the European level.
The city of Sisak and the entire Sisak-Moslavina County were struck by a devastating earthquake last December. Organising this conference in Sisak had a symbolic meaning, to support local people and contribute to the social revitalization of this area that is still struggling to recover.
